(under subclass 858) Subject matter wherein the collar supports or is adapted to support a composition (i.e., chemical agent) in such a manner that the agent can escape the collar to treat, protect, or otherwise aid the animal wearing the collar.

(1) Note. The chemical agent can escape either by volatilization or by direct dispensing from the collar, usually in a slow release manner to, for example, medicate, deodorize, repel, or kill pests.
