DEFINITION

(under subclass 1.2) Means by which (a) the load transfer takes place between an aircraft and a second moving vehicle, including other aircraft, ships, railway-vehicles, etc., or (b) arrangements which require an aircraft in flight to maintain a substantially circular course in order to take on a discharge the load.
(1) Note. Mere turntables for aligning a ground receiver or support with the direction of flight of the aircraft are not "moving vehicles" within the meaning of this subclass.
